After the human pearls I’m now surrounded by real pearls. I flew yesterday to Broome, which is totally on the other side of Australia. Broome, 12.000 inhabitants and tropical, is the biggest centre for pearls in the world and I’m preparing a 4×4 trip through the Kimberly with my friend Rachael (director of Stalker).
So we’re off into the wilderness to forget all art and artists with litres of diesel, water, wine, a rechargeable power pack and an air compressor (just in case). I’ll sleep under the endless star-spangled sky to clear my mind before I’ll return to France to continue writing.
