The world gala-premiere of The Bird Can’t Fly will be held on 25th September at the San Sebastian International Film Festival. We are selected for the Zabaltegi-New Directors Section.
I feel like I’m flying in heaven. I wake up early morning, have a swim and work a couple of hours on my new novel. It’s this delicate polishing where you see the story growing under your fingers. The afternoons are dedicated to the film. Yesterday I gave my approval to 244 visual effects shots and the color grading. I fully did. The guys’ve done a top job; it’s so beautiful what they’ve made. Also the sound and the music are improving every day and add this new dramatical layer to the story. And I saw the proposals for the poster and the trailer. All of a sudden I know it’s true; I made a feature film and a novel and they belong to each other!
