I’m excited because the publisher of my new novel has decided that even before ‘Wachten op de moesson’ (Waiting For the Monsoon) is launched in Holland a serious fragment will be translated into English. This to attract possible foreign publishers who want to buy the book. I choose a cross-section of my book instead of only the beginning. While around me the first leaves are falling to announce the coming autumn, I try to finish the rewriting while several urgent jobs are banging on the walls of my mind.
