After a week of meetings, parties and a lecture I’m back behind my computer. In the coming weeks I’m going to make the next step in writing the script ‘Waiting for the Monsoon’. It’s exciting because slowly I can take more and more distance from the novel and transform it into a film. In a way I try to forget my original Indian story and focus on the impossible international love affair between two lonely people. Right now I’m not interested at all in readers that after a screening will say: ‘it’s not like the book!’ No that is true, it’s the film.
