It’s like being in a vacuum. I’ve been working so hard and for so long – always believing that my feature film ‘Silent City’ would become reality. Now we’re ready with the shooting, the last material is on its way to the editor and the composer already made his first sketches, but I need to take some distance from what we made. I need a fresh eye before I can join the editing.
After the total hectic of Tokyo I’m back home where there are no cars spurting by, no sound pollution and almost no people. A bigger contrast is hardly possible. I walk outside. I dream away. I work in the garden. I stare at the clouds. I watch crap series on DVD. I bake cakes and pies. I sleep. I just empty my mind before I move on.
