The window of my studio is covered with hundreds of yellow post-its. It’s the layout of my new novel, the palette I’ll going to use the coming months. It will help me to keep the story line and also it’s a reservoir full of ideas and possible characters, if I need.
When I write a novel I try not to be involved in other big projects, because if I do I can’t go as deep as I would like to go. Writing is like going into a tunnel and I prefer not to come out before I’ve finished the last line. But this going in is not easy. I’m hovering in front of the entrance. A sudden anxiety holds me. I’m rewriting the first paragraph over and over. I know that all of a sudden I’ll jump.
I’ll try to keep a daily report of this process on twitter. Although it won’t be easy to report frequently… altogether it’s just writing!
