On the moment when I put down the last full stop of my new story – I start a new project. This doesn’t mean my novel is ready. Not at all. It still does need a lot of work and polishing before it can go to the editor.
But at the moment the new story was told, I started a side project. A documentary, a portrait about a fisherman who soon turns 65. He doesn’t want to stop fishing and I’m planning to follow him the coming ten or fifteen years.
Always when a project (this time my novel) is almost finished, my brains and heart get extremely restless. Thousands of new ideas tumble through my head and I start to throw out new lines. Knowing soon a big new project takes over.
